meet（初対面）／ （初めて）会う・知り合う
Nice to meet you.
私はあなたにお会いできて嬉しいです。
ポイント：初対面の定番挨拶。「（初めて）会う・知り合う」という意味の meet で、すでに知っている相手には使えない。別れ際は Nice to have met you. と過去形にするのが自然。
語形：Nice to meet you. / It’s nice to meet you. / Pleased to meet you. いずれも同義。

ポイント：meet up は「（事前に計画・約束して）どこかで合流する」というくだけた口語表現。meet だけでも同じ意味になるが、meet up はカジュアルな響きが強い。with を伴い meet up with ～ の形でも使われる。
