① 指定条件のクリア（語数と具体例）
どのパターンを選ぶにせよ、まずは「自分がどれを重視するか」を1文目で明確に提示します。その後、100語程度を満たすために具体的なエピソード（卒業式、遠方の祖父母への連絡、ローアングルの写真撮影など）を具体例として肉付けしていくのが京大自由英作文の王道です。

② 使える重要構文
place importance on ～（〜を重視する）、stay connected with ～（〜とのつながりを保つ）、convey one’s feelings（自分の感情を伝える）などは、自由英作文で非常に重宝する表現です。

「全体のなかの少数者」は、模範解答のように a small group within a whole population とするほか、シンプルに a small number of people としても十分に意味が伝わります。

「～に還元する」の訳出：reduce A to B（AをBに還元する・おとしめる）という動詞の難易度が高いです。苦手な人は、別解のように think about this concept only by numbers（数だけでこの概念について考える）と、意味を噛み砕いて英訳しましょう。

「属性」は attributes ですが、分からなければ別解のように defined by race or religion（人種や宗教によって定義される）と直接具体例を繋げれば回避できます。「社会的弱者」は socially disadvantaged（社会的に不利益を被っている）がぴったりですが、socially weak でも通じます。
